Estadio Monumental, Argentina's largest stadium, is commonly referred to as El Monumental or River Plate Stadium. El Monumental has been in the pipeline for some time. CA River Plate plays its home games there and is one of the most successful clubs in Argentina. In 2011, they presented the idea of the "River Plate Forum." The River Plate Forum involves the removal of athletics tracks and the roofing of the stands. The first initial step was taken back in August 2020.   The Club has the first and only hybrid grass (turf) playing field with heating and aeration systems in the country.
