  1. This post is getting me so excited for the new stadium! I’m looking forward to the interactive games the most. I’m from Chicago and enjoy visiting the Chicago White Sox Stadium (Guaranteed Rate Field). One of my favorite parts about the stadium is the many interactive games you can do before the first pitch. Growing up, I loved hitting the batting cages with my siblings and seeing how fast we could throw a ball. These activities made the games more exciting for me because there were things to do outside of just watching the game. I expect the interactive games at Everton’s new stadium to provide a similar experience which will be great for fans.

    1. I think the interactive aspects of stadiums are a huge draw for fans. I also think the young generation has a shorter attention span and sometimes struggles to sit through an entire sporting event, especially if they are not an avid supporter. By creating spaces in stadiums for people to participate in activities, I think teams are more likely to appeal to each of the four types of fans and will generate more interest in their events. Like you, when I went to baseball games in the Bay Area growing up I would always have my parents take me to the kids' area before the game to play wiffle ball, participate in a home run derby, or get ready for the game by putting on stickers or temporary tattoos. These interactive aspects truly made my game day experience better, and I expect Everton to see similar results in their new stadium.

  2. After reading this post, I became extremely informed about Everton FC and their effort to build a new stadium. New stadiums can be an exciting and stressful experience for fans of the team, there is a lot of excitement to be able to utilize a brand new stadium for the team that you love the most, but it also means sacrificing years of comfortability in your home. You also spoke about the importance of match day experience for fans, and you said "The stadium is not a success unless the fans are content." (Blogger) This means that the match day experience must be thought through thoroughly. If the match day experience is not up to par then the fans will not be excited to enter the new stadium that you just constructed for them.

  3. After reading this blog, I am very excited to see the new interactive games and experiences throughout the stadium. While I probably won't attend this stadium in person, I'm still excited to follow along and see how the project unfolds. Talking about the question about what part of the stadium I'm looking forward to the most, I have to say I'm most excited about the Fan Zone outside the stadium. I am also from near Chicago, so I attend many Chicago Cubs games at Wrigley Field, which is kind of what this Fan Zone is reminding me of. It's great to hear that Everton FC values fan feedback and involvement in the process, which makes fans feel like they are an important part of the team. I am also excited about the grand entrance and the sea of blue and white jerseys from the stands. That will definitely make for a memorable crowd experience each and every home game being played at this stadium!

  4. Before reading this article, I did not know that much about Everton FC, so it was really interesting to hear about the new stadium they are making. It is so exciting to hear about all of these new football stadiums that are being made! I really wish we were still going to be abroad to experience them. To answer your question, I am most excited to see what the Fan Zone ends up having available for its fans, as you have emphasized the importance of the fans for Everton FC. My family frequently goes to New York Jets, and right outside the stadium there is an interactive area for fans to play in. There even is a field goal that people can try and kick a football into. I always look forward to the New York Jets games because I get to take part in these games with my family or friends, and it adds to the experience of the game. You mentioned how Everton FC prides itself on its fan experience, so it will be really interesting to see what the fans reaction is and what they have to say about the stadium when it is all done. If the Fan Zone in the new Everton FC stadium meets the needs of the fans, then it will enhance the fans experience and make them want to keep coming back. What do you think needs to be incorporated in the Fan Zone to enhance the fans experience?

  10. This post taught me a lot about Everton FC's efforts to build a new stadium. Constructing a new stadium is both thrilling and stressful for fans - it's exciting to have a fresh stadium for your favorite team, but it also means leaving behind the comfort of the old one. You highlighted how important it is to make sure fans have a great time on match days. This shows that a stadium's success hinges on keeping fans happy. If the match day experience isn't enjoyable, fans might not feel as excited about attending the new stadium you've built for them. It's crucial to think through every part of the fan experience to ensure fans feel valued and have a great time.

  13. Does this new stadium have the capability to be used for any purpose other than football matches, like concerts? You mentioned how the stadium is made to maximize football mans experiences from the moment they enter the stadium, but could the same resources be used to create concert experiences or anything else? - Ollie Brown

  14. This is really interesting and exciting for Everton! I did not have knowledge of this before reading about this and it sounds like a fun and expensive project! I am excited for fans to have the interactive experience before the game. I think this will provide for further engagement and customers will have a further connection and want to support this team after being able to learn more and interact with these games. I am very curious about the revenue projections from this upgrade on the stadium. Is there any data on what areas of the project are going to generate the most revenue and if so how much? - Kathleen Wannemacher
