 In a bold stride towards enhancing Anfield’s legacy, Liverpool FC has embarked on an ambitious project to expand the Anfield Road stand, aiming to preserve the stadium’s iconic atmosphere while elevating the fan experience.


The enhancement plans promise a multitude of improvements, including upgraded concourses and a modern hospitality lounge, alongside a strategic relocation of the Family Park to a sheltered area, ensuring a memorable visit for every fan.

Upon completion, this expansion is set to transform Anfield into one of the Premier League’s grandest arenas, boosting its capacity to over 61,000 spectators. This significant increase will incorporate approximately 7,000 new seats, distributed between general admission and premium seating equipped with sports bar and lounge access, carefully designed to adhere to the utmost standards of stadium design, safety, and comfort. Furthermore, a big aspect is "retaining the special atmosphere at Anfield is one of the key design drivers and was instrumental in the current owners deciding to expand the existing Stadium rather than relocate to a new stadium in Stanley Park" according to Liverpool.

The blueprint for the Anfield Road stand is meticulously crafted to enhance operational facilities while maintaining the Main Stand’s aesthetic and functional ethos.
